Before I start blogging on projects finished after I finally started this blog, I thought I would post the objects I finished so far this year. There aren’t many, sadly.
First was this zig zag hat, made for a friend. It’s incredibly warm and I think the pattern is neat. I’d like to do some more projects with zig zags in the future.
Yarn used was Caron Simply Soft in Dark Sage and Off White. Pattern was my own.
Next up is a drumstick holder. My boyfriend plays drums and asked me forever ago to make him a holder instead of him having to buy one. I forgot all about it until I came across the yarn in my stash.
Yarn is Vanna’s Choice in black. Made up the pattern as I went along.
For Christmas, I made Max a hat that was too small. I finally made myself sit down and re-knit it. It is incredibly warm and soft. It turned out lovely.
Yarn used was Knit Pick’s Chroma in New England. I made up the pattern as I went along.
Finally, I also made a slouchy hat for me. I had bought the purple yarn for a hat for me I never made and the self-striping yarn was purchased with a shawl in mind, that also never happened. I’m still not sure if I like this hat or not. It’s incredibly warm and it’s big enough for my hair, so it will probably come in handy in the winter months.
Yarn used was Cascade 220 and Classic Shades in Grapevine. I made up the pattern as I went along.
And that is my sad showing of finished projects this year. I’m actually embarrassed by this. At least I have the rest I the year to try to turn that around. I’m just happy to be knitting again — and enjoying it.
