011 :: WIP Wednesday: Hats and Mittens

I’ve been quiet the last week or so. I have been knitting though.

I’ve decided to get a head start on Christmas presents this year, while also getting rid of as much of my stash as possible. To help me get through this, I am picking a movie series to watch a week and watching one movie a day. During this movie, I am working solely on Christmas knitting — mostly hats for right now. Here is this week’s movie viewing plus a hat that will be donated to charity this winter:

Along with this hat, I am working on another hat in bulky yarn and a pair of Maplewood mittens for one of my high school English teachers.

Both of which are extremely difficult to get pictures of.

Because I plan to spend the majority of July knitting Christmas presents for people who may or may not read this, I’m not sure how much posting will actually occur. Hopefully I can squeeze in an occasional non-holiday knit as well.

On a non-knitting note, I currently have out 8 applications for teacher positions — one being at my Dream School in this county — and could really use some prayers/good thoughts/good vibes sent my way that one will come through.

  1. Good teaching vibes coming your way!

  2. Again – we’re sending very positive vibes your way! LOL at the movie, shades of my kids! 8-) Throw in the Goonies and you’re there! 8-) Love the hats!

  3. I hope you get the best position possible for you right now. Hang in there!

I need to take a cue from you getting my gifts made early…I always wait until the last minute, lol!
