Of course, I have a hat on my needles — this is becoming a very nice habit — and a sock or two or three. But last night, I started a scarf for my grandmother’s 80th birthday next month. And that is going to be my main knitting to make sure it will be done on time. Plus, it’s the only one I have a picture of, so that’s what I will show you.

I bought the yarn yesterday because there wasn’t really anything in my stash that I thought would work for my grandmother. I’ve decided to do a simple garter stitch, just to make sure I won’t run out of time, and I am using size 13 needles, so I am hoping to have this finished way early. The yarn is Lion Bran Tweed Stripes in Marble. It is incredibly scarf and interesting in the color changes when you get a good look at it, though at first glance it just seems to be a grey scarf. I hope she likes it!
