Welcome, visitor, to Craftie Allie!
My name is Allie and I am a knitter. Here, you will be able to read about my knitting adventures as I learn new techniques, try different yarns, and challenge myself in this wonderful craft.
I tend to knit a lot of hats because that’s what my friends and I like to wear. I greatly enjoy making socks and hope to complete my first cardigan soon. I would also like to have a kick ass shawl collection one day; I’m envious of the ones some of my fellow knitters and bloggers have.
I am in my late twenties. I have a degree in early childhood education and am currently attending grad school to receive a master’s in library science. I started my first real job in January 2013; I am an early interventionist working with infants and toddlers who have special needs. It’s an extremely rewarding and occasionally stressful job. I love it so.
I am engaged to be married at some point in time. Together, we have one black pug named Bill Murray, two red ear slider turtles named Donatello and Ziggy Stardust, and a hedgehog named Sir Reginald Hedgefield. My fiancee writes music and plays drums in his band What a Delight and he is quite good, if I do say so myself.
Aside from knitting, I enjoy reading and watching movies. I’m wanting to venture out into other crafts eventually, including weaving, embroidery and spinning. When I finally dive in, I will be making posts on those things as well.
